Performance Evidence

The candidate must show evidence of the ability to complete tasks outlined in elements and performance criteria of this unit, manage tasks and manage contingencies in the context of the job role. There must be evidence that the candidate has:

• managed and coordinated 1 emergency operation including:

- ensuring the following supplies necessary for operations are available and meet service delivery specifications, organisation standards, schedules and procedures:

o material supplies

o equipment and technology

o information required to coordinate resources

o financial information

- recognising factors that impact efficiency of operations and reporting on strategies to control resources for future operations.


Knowledge Evidence

The candidate must be able to demonstrate essential knowledge required to effectively complete tasks outlined in elements and performance criteria of this unit, manage tasks and manage contingencies in the context of the work role. This includes knowledge of:

• patient care and assessment clinical standard guidelines

• emergency resources requirements

• organisation policies and procedures and established clinical guidelines and protocols

• relevant legislation and industrial guidelines

• management of budgets and finance

• information technology and record-keeping.
